I did a lot of research to find the best auto repair shop in Denver and picked Hotchkiss on Colfax. Getting an appointment online was simple. Shelby Pittman greeted me when I dropped the car off and discussed all my concerns and repair requirements. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The car was done on time and the price was right. Hotchkiss is my new go-to car shop.

They exceeded my expectations and thoroughly inspected my vehicle outside the scope of my original intention for bringing it in the shop. They recommended a service that the dealership missed and I ended up agreeing with their diagnosis and proceeding with the repair. They provided pictures and a price estimate and there is no pressure to get you to agree to it if you want to decline the service. I had major suspension work done and my car runs great. My family has been coming for years, but this was the first time coming for my own car. They were super nice and transparent, and understood that I needed my car back asap! The bearing they replaced initially had a manufacturer error, so I used the repair warrenty to get that swapped out with no extra cost, lickity split. It’s hard to say you completely trust any repair shop, but Hotchkiss has earned that trust through their honesty, transparency, and the way they genuinely put their customers first. They take the time to explain what’s actually wrong, never pressure you into unnecessary repairs, and treat you with respect from start to finish. Finding a shop that’s knowledgeable, communicative, and ethical is incredibly rare, and Hotchkiss exemplifies what a trustworthy auto repair business should be. If you’re looking for a mechanic you can feel confident recommending to your family and friends, I can’t recommend Hotchkiss Auto highly enough.

Had an unexpected DIY car repair go wrong, and after Big O assessed and wasn’t able to assist, I was recommended this shop through AAA. While they couldn’t assess the issue the same day I had my car towed to them, they were very communicative from day one. I was expecting to be out of a car for at least a few days, but they contacted me 24 hours later saying they were able to repair my vehicle as well as take care of some other routine maintenance items that were highly recommended. Staff here was super nice, price for repairs was very reasonable and honestly better than I was anticipating. Will definitely bring my car back here for any future repairs needed!

10/10 would recommend! Last shop I took my car to quoted me $5 grand so I took it here and it only cost $1k. This is the only shop I’ll take my car to now. Shelby is the best! So trustworthy, which is rare to find out here. A true gem of a shop.
