Very thorough. Very helpful. Make routine maintenance easy. After so many problems with other repair shops especially dealerships charging for repairs never completed, it's nice just to deal with straight forward service

Although they are nice and friendly I wish I would have listened to my gut instead of them they convinced me to spend 1500 said it would make my car “safe “ even tho I felt deep down I was getting lied to and I was right my car caught on fire shortly after leaving this shop not saying it’s their fault but it is their fault for lying to me deeming my car safe when it wasn’t; a waste of 1500 and no refund in site. They might be friendly but they’ll lie straight to your face while smiling
Lea, we are truly sorry that you experienced something as devastating as losing your vehicle. We understand how upsetting it is to be without transportation after recently investing money into repairs, and we do not take your situation lightly. However, we strongly disagree with the claim that our team lied to you or recommended unnecessary work. Your vehicle came to us with several documented concerns for noise. We repaired the specific items you authorized, including a failing wheel bearing, damaged battery cable ends, and a worn torque strut. Those were legitimate safety and reliability concerns, and the repairs were completed properly. Although there were documented issues with the vehicle that were not authorized for repair, such as severe oil leaks. We identified an issue with a repair performed by another shop in relation to the fuel line above the fuel tank; this was corrected at no charge to you. We felt we did our duties to keep you safe and repair your vehicle as best we could. It did not mean every condition on the vehicle had been corrected or that no unrelated failure could occur later. We stand behind the inspection, recommendations, and repairs performed by our team. We are sorry for the circumstances you are facing, but we cannot agree that Hotchkiss Auto Repair lied to you or failed to perform the work you authorized.
After taking my car to 2 - either incompetent or dishonest (or both!) auto repair shops - Hotchkiss Auto Repair on Colfax, found the issues, and repaired them - for nearly 1/2 the cost one shop quoted me. They also, re-repaired what the other shop said they fixed. They were notably, very competent, professional, and friendly. Well done and thank you!!

After having a negative experience at another garage, I was really grateful for my experience at Hotchkiss. Shelby road along in my car to identify the noise that was happening to determine the level of urgency of the repair before a tech was available. She got me in with a tech and back on the road safely within 24 hours! Thank you!

Took in my FIAT 500 for an AC and coolant fan repair, they did an excellent job diagnosing all the relevant issues, including finding a valve cover gasket leak I didn't know I had, and communicating clearly with me all throughout the repair for any extra things that were needed to get it done. Everything works great now as intended with 0 problems! Highly recommend them for any auto needs you have, they do it all

Needed some work done on my car and they did a great job. Kyle got my car back to me as quickly as possible and was very communicative the whole time.
