I have been going to this shop for years and they will bend over backwards to take care of problems or if there is a problem they will make it right. I recommend Hotchkiss Auto Repair without hesitation.

Awesome experience at Hotchkiss! These Yelpers don't lie. I dropped off my car for a tune-up since I just passed 100,000 miles. They called to discuss what would be needed (lots of new belts), but then when they opened up my little old Civic, they decided that she was in great shape and called to recommend that I NOT replace as much as we had initially agreed upon. It ended up costing me half of what I anticipated. The quality of work was superb; the staff was super friendly and flexible. I plan on being a customer for life.

My wifes boss recomended Hotchkiss to me about 2 years ago when we moved to the area. They have always done a great job on our work trucks and their pricing is more than fair.

I wanted to give someone a hug when I left. Seriously, these guys are unbelievable. I felt drawn to find something else wrong with my car just to give back to them. They could have told me that I needed to put $1000 in to my vehicle and I would have believed them. Instead, I walked away spending $50. Yes, it is true. My car was not working appropriately and I went to a mechanic who fixed it for fifty dollars. They initially said that they would be unable to get my car in for almost a week. I asked if I could drop it off and cross my fingers that some time would open up. They called 6 hours later, had my car in and fixed telling me "they wanted to make sure I had the car for the holidays." AND. I had my oil changed two weeks prior to this. The guy told me I should "whatever" for $200. These kind people told me that wasn't necessary. I asked them to check my cars specs and see what regular maintenance I should do to it. They said that they typically do those things every time I bring it in for a check up and suggested strongly that I invest in a new belt. The people sat there and researched my car along with talking to several people in the building to make sure it was necessary. I could write a lot, but I will summarize my experience with emphasizing the relief and thankfulness I have in finding a shop that has caring and honest people. I felt like I was talking to a mechanic friend who's main concern was not that I fork out a bunch of money.

I was expecting greatness and boy greatness was delivered! I've been living out here for a year and haven't found a mechanic. I figured time was up with some unknown squeaky noses when I braked. Found this place on Yelp - totally drive by this place 5 times a week. Wow - convenient for me. They totally squeezed me into an already full day. When I dropped my car off they did all the introduction to the Manager, the Owner, some of the other people - felt like a family. I also told him that I needed my air conditioner fixed. This is the first time I was ever talked out of repairs. He explained that it would probably be better to do this in the summer. I agree - I like you guys already. Received a call within two hours stating they couldn't replicate the squeaky noises (I hate when this happens). Gave me some options and did some light cleaning on my brakes. Pickup was smooth and just as good as the drop off. I have found my new mechanic. If you don't have one I highly recommend these guys. You will be talked to in English and get great customer service.

In the past 8 years, my car has been with mechanics like Jersey Shore's "The Situation" has been with ... you get the picture. This is not because I enjoy it, but it's because I have been looking for a mechanic who avoids these two things: a. Talks to you like you're an idiot for not knowing enough about cars. b. Tells you about all the OTHER parts of your car that are breaking down. That is, the parts that you didn't come in for. Hotchkiss not only is conscious of these things, but they do so much more. They have Cliff Bars available in the waiting room, as well as a really friendly girl at the desk. Berle, the man, not only remembered my name, and not only encouraged me to prioritize my car troubles and pick one thing at a time to fix, but he also took me over and showed me my engine and explained what he did to it and wasn't annoyed to do it. "Sealed with a Hotchkiss"... use that one, Berle. A freebee.

Wow!... These people are amazing and honest. They don't replace phantom parts, nor do they take your wallet for a ride. Took in my car after calling several local shops and getting a quote. They were about 35% less than other repair establishments. After 24 hours with the car, they were unable to get the car to repeat the problem, however they only charged me for 1/2 hour of labor. The mechanic personally spoke with me, assured me that he looked over every area that may had been related to the original problem. They could have replaced parts all day long, and I wouldn't have been suspicious. Hard to find honest shops, but this shop has earned a customer for life!
