These guys are champions of the automotive repair industry! I called on a random Tuesday and Cody and the lovely front office staff actually got me in and were able to preform the maintenance I needed. A few hours later I was on the Colorado highways and the adventure was beginning. Thanks you hotchkiss auto, for taking care of all of your park hill neighbors. You guys really did make my day, they also love dogs! Thanks again

Finding a mechanic you can trust in your neighborhood is a dream, and we’ve found that in Hotchkiss. On one occasion, I had an idling issue that was solved by simply blowing out my fuel lines. They didn’t charge me a cent for that. At another trip, I wanted to get my brakes checked because they were squeaking. They told me they were just dirty and I could get another 5,000 miles out of them before checking again. Most shops charge as much as they can or milk you for as many repairs as they can per visit. Not this crew, and that’s why I keep coming back!

Friendly, affordable, I will come back next time. My car wasn't starting and I made an appointment, but was planning to test my battery before coming by. They offered to test my battery for free so I didn't have to make another stop and were so friendly. Since it was only a battery issue that I could solve myself I didn't have them do anything else even though they offered a very fair price. Even then, they helped me get an affordable battery without trying to upsell me. So although they didn't actually do much on my car, I plan to go back next time my car needs any work!

Amazing customer service!

These guys are great - have been going there for 10+ years at this point. What I’ve found the most useful is how they provide a heads up, when possible, about needed upcoming repairs so I can manage the cost better and not have unwelcome car surprises!

Came here because of the very positive reviews, but had a disappointing experience. First, their fliers in the mail advertise a shuttle service and loaner vehicles, but neither was available. Second, I had a simple repair and dropped off the car at an appointment at 8:30 am, but because of their first in first out system, I hadn't received any update by 3 pm. Ended up cancelling most of the job because they said it might not be ready until close. Can't say I recommend if you're at all time-sensitive.

I have only good things to say about Hotchkiss Auto Repair. First off, my truck had to be towed to the shop; Hotchkiss works closely with a reputable tow company so I got a great deal there. Once they inspected the vehicle, I received a detail quote that broke down each repair by sections that included pictures and personal notes from the mechanic. This quote also included a pricing breakdown that showed the cost of parts versus the required labor and hourly rates. Communications with the shop were clear and concise; I was given notice when parts were ordered, when parts arrived, when the mechanic started work, when the mechanic finished work, when the mechanic found a problem testing the replacement part, when a replacement for the replacement would arrive(at no additional cost), when the mechanic fixed the new problem, and when the truck was finally ready to go. They also followed up with me after bringing the truck home to make sure there were no problems and that I was satisfied with the work. On top of all of that, they include a two year warranty on all work and parts used in their repairs. There were no surprise additional charges by the end of the repair, the shop is well-organized and keeps a strict schedule, and it took longer to ship the parts than to perform repairs; I cannot imagine using a different auto shop after such a good, professional experience with Hotchkiss.
